What it is:
An ongoing national survey of retailers' sales breakdowns with Gross Margin by product category. Breakdowns are presented at the major and minor product category levels of detail. Information may be sorted by Retailer Volume and Merchandised Price Point.
What it can do for you:
Identify product Category that may be underperforming because of Selection, Advertising, or Retail Experience. This provides you with guidance on Space Allocation and, when used in conjunction with Product Assortment, gives you a better understanding of product by Price Point to bring about improvement in your Gross Margin.
